Welcome to Hickory&Oak Custom Sawmilling, LLC. We are a small family run business that takes great pride in providing you with quality Great Lakes region hardwood lumber and milling services.

Southwest Michigan is blessed with an abundance of native hardwoods. The main forest type of this region is what foresters call Hickory-Oak forest. Hence the name of our business.

We take pride in the local forest land that families enjoy for recreation such as hiking, hunting, mushrooming, and nature watching. Because of this we strive to be good stewards of the land. Approximately 90% of the logs that we use at Hickory&Oak come from trees that otherwise would have been wasted. Examples include trees blown down from windstorms, clearings for development, yard trees from arborist that would have trucked them to local land fills or cut them up for firewood. We gather this local resource and turn a waste product into lumber that is used for everything from cabinets and flooring to fencing and horse stalls. Now that is putting what we have to good use!
